'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas'

W radiu słychać już tylko piosenki świąteczne takie jakie właśnie ta z tytułu dzisiejszego postu oraz wszystkich innych pięknych amerykańskich i brytyjskich piosenek. Oczywiście w noc wigilijną nie zamierzam amerykanizować (?) mojej rodziny i tradycyjnie włączamy polskie kolędy.

The radio (when I talk about the radio it can only be haart as it is my favourite - even though they are playing the same songs over and over again) is playing only christmas songs such as the one from my post title and also all of the american and british songs. However, during the christmas eve I'm not going to make my family feel american and we will be playing all the traditional polish christmas carols that night.

Today's post is a mixture of the fourth 'outfit' on my blog and wishing you all a very merry CHRISTMAS.

Swoją sukienkę zakupiłam już w październiku, ale oczywiście z racji tego, że nie zwykłam nosić tego typu rzeczy to wisiała w szafie i czekała na okazję (chociaż przyznam, że kupiłam ją właśnie ze względu na święta). Nie chwaląc się uważam, że prezentowałam się w niej znakomicie, a rzadko kiedy to mówię. Najbardziej podoba mi się kolor tejże sukienki - taki dziewczęcy - pastelowy i chociaż nie jestem fanką takich kolorów to w tym wydaniu strasznie mi się podoba. Uwielbiam też ten przesłodki biały kołnierzyk, który świetnie pasuje do kroju tej sukienki.
I've bought my dress in the middle of october but to be honest I don't really like to wear stuff like that so it did had to wait for a good ocasion for me yo wear it - and Christmas is definitevely one of them. In my opinion the dress looks amazing on my and I dont say it often - only because I hate my body. However, the best thing about this dress is obviously the very girly pastel colour and even though I'm not the biggest fan of colours like that, I think it suits me well. I also love this cute white collar, which in my opinion looks fantastic.
/Ostatnio strasznie polubiłam nową piosenką Lily Allen - Somewhere only we know, która została napisana i nagrana dla najnowszej reklamy Johna Lewisa, która jest genialna - opowiada o niedźwiadku, który nigdy nie widział świąt, więc jeżeli macie ochotę spojrzeć to wystarczy w swoje przeglądarki  yt wpisać John Lewis a bear and a hare.

Lately, my favorite song is the new Lily Allen - Somewhere only we know, which was written and recorded for the newest John Lewis Ad, which is just fantastic - basically it's about a bear who had never seen christmas. So.. If you haven't watched it than i recommend you to do so - it is called John Lewis a bear and a hare.

Mój post dobiega końca, więc chciałabym wam wszystkim życzyć Wesołych Świąt oraz jak najbardziej szczęśliwego nowego roku, który mam nadzieje przyniesie nam wszystkich wiele radości i jak najmniej smutku. Buziaczki :*
So.. As my post is ending here, I wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, which *I hope* will bring all of us a lot of happiness and not as much sad moments as the last one probably did. Love You all :*

A little bit of Christmas

Nie lubię kiedy ludzie zaczynają dekorować swoje domy i (co gorsze) sklepy na święta na początku listopada. Nasza tradycja bardzo różni się od tej angielskiej, tutaj o tej porze roku już prawie wszyscy mają ubrane choinki, a my spokojnie czekamy na chociaż połowę grudnia.
I hate when people are starting to decorate their houses with christmas lights and (what's even worse for me) the shops in nearly november. Our polish tradition is a lot different even when it comes to decoreting the tree, we usually do it few days before 24th of December and it stays with us until the late January (or 2nd February).  

Mieszkam jednak w Wielkiej Brytanii i trochę szybciej mnie nabiera ochotę na tę całą świąteczną sielankę.
However, I live in the United Kingdom so I've decided to start with this whole christmas thing a little bit earlier. 
Dzisiaj pokażę wam mój pokój w Świątecznych dekoracjach i opowiem o różnicach między naszą i angielską tradycją (kilka małych drobiazgów).
Today I will show you my room with Christmas decorations and I will talk to you about the differences between Polish and English traditions (just one or two). 

Nie wiem za dużo o angielskich potrawach, ale indyk to ich ulubione mięso.
I don't really know a lot about english meals but they love turkey. 

U nas na czubek choinki wiesza się zazwyczaj gwiazdkę, a Anglikom szczęście przynoszą aniołki.
Polish people put a star on the top of the tree but english people prefer the angels. 

Kiedy Anglicy otwierają prezenty? W poranek 25 grudnia - i te skarpetowe jak i te spod choinki.
When Polish people are opening their presents? On the Christmas Eve after the most amazing dinner in the year. 

Anglicy uwielbiają piosenki świąteczne, ale kolęd też słuchają - na przykład naszą chichą noc. / Święta Bożego Narodzenia to mój ulubiony czas w roku, więc strasznie mi smutno kiedy się kończą i trzeba czekać cały rok na następne.
Polish people are listeting to a lot of different christmas carols like the polish version of silent night, which you can find on youtube if you're interested./ Christmas is my favourite time of the year so I'm really sad when they are over and I have to wait another year for the next one. 

Angielski ptaszek popularny w okresie świątecznym to rudzik, który jest prześliczny, a jego angielska nazwa to 'robin' - brzmi równie słodko.
Robin is not that popular in poland but we call him 'rudzik' - cute huh?!

Nawet ksiązki świątecze mnie do sobie przekonały...
I even love christmas books.... 

A rufold czerwono-nosy to mój ulubiony renifer (tę piosenkę też kocham).
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer is my favourite reindeer (i love the song about him, it's my personal favourite).
